Orange offers quadruple play: the UFC took the Competition Authority

“With Open, Orange combines in a single contract offer triple-play classic – combining broadband Internet access, telephony and television – and a mobile phone offer. More than one million consumers have already left seduced by this offer ” , says the UFC in a statement.

Decoupling possible, according to Orange

The association estimates and that “with this offer, Orange requires the renewal of commitment to the fixed part, where the consumer is changing his contract mobile ” and “allow consumers to decouple the triple play and mobile at the time of termination of one of them ” .

“These two points are wrong” , responded the direction of Orange, contacted by Agence France-Press, saying that “there is no obligation on the fixed part, and can terminate its offer triple play without the moving part is terminated ” .

“In June 2010, the Competition Authority has issued a positive opinion on the ‘cross-selling of subscriptions’ , and Orange was based on this opinion and the way to launch its offer Open ” , added the operator . It also states that the Authority has launched an investigation “to see if the operators have considered this opinion, and that the investigation is still ongoing “.
